25k Service

murmini just went in for the 25k service at Rick Hendrick’s MINI of Charleston home of MINI of Charleston Racing. This is the team that carried out the JCW conversion for me back in November of 2004 and have been providing excellent service ever since. A special thanks to Service Advisors Dana Bailey and Chris Wells who do such a good job and really make you feel at home. Thank you guys!
25,000 miles and the only issues really have been a rattling boot catch and a squeaky window regulator and a faulty fuel gauge earlier last year. My rear tires still look good though I did replace the front ones at about 15k. Touch wood… the car has been trouble free, a delight to own and even more of a delight to drive. I read a lot of issues with cars and with dealerships and I while I wish I didn’t have to drive 100 miles each way for service, the people at this dealership have proven to be well worth it.

Congrats! What year is your MINI? I'm barely at 8800 with 14 months under my belt.
Dan, it is an 05 but ordered in July 04 and delivered in September. It had six miles on the clock and then in November, I had the JCW conversion done as it was awaiting emmisions testing at the time and a bit delayed. I drove it about 5000 miles prior to the conversion. So I have actually been driving it for 21 months and averaged about 1200 miles / month.
Not bad mileage. I'm just @ 15k in 13 months.
23,500 in 13 months, here. :-) And another 2,000 coming up next week...
What is your service indicator giving you for the '25,000' services interval? As shown at start-up. It uses 'fuel consumption' to calculate how its being driven and subsequently when the service is due.
You asking me? With about 23.5k miles on the odometer, my service interval readout is 4,450, I think. In fact, I just changed the oil today, since I'd done a track day a couple of weeks ago. I don't recall when I had the first service done, exactly, but I think it was probably closer to 12k miles.
