MINIS in Las Vegas

Having just attended the 2008 National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas, I noted how many vendor booths had MINIS on them either as 'eye candy' or prizes.

This annual show of the professional broadcast industry drew over 105,000 attendees this year of which 28,000 plus were internationals. 1,400 exhibiting companies from 130 countries around the world. Year after year, it has become the essential destination for anyone in electronic media who’s looking for comprehensive education, inspiration and innovation.

Like many trade shows, the booths were filled the latest technology and littered with everything from 3D hi-deffinition projectors to helicopters and... of course... MINIS.

There were MINIS to be won and MINIS as decoration for the booths, but my favorite one was on the Intelsat booth, from the great people at SISLink.

Mounted on a MINI Cooper this is an automated Ku Band uplink and yes.... they had it mounted on a MINI Clubman! If you want a bit more info, here is a video.
