MINI Takes the States 2008 - Kicks off in Miami

The long awaited MINI Takes the States 2008 kicked off this past weekend in Miami

As a follow up from the wonderful three week activities of the 2006 MTTS events, This time the Miami-Boston route is trying to include some of the areas that had been skipped last time.

The fun started this past weekend in Miami and from their overnight layover in St. Augustine Florida, today they head north to Charleston with a Pit Stop in Savannah Georgia where they will gather at the Savannah Visitors Center parking lot at around 1:00pm.

"GP George" has been doing a wonderful job of documenting the daily activities here.

    RB: I don’t think the turn out was that low, I think the event spaces were HUGE. The speedway is capable of holding !50,000 so that would make most crowds look smaller than average.

    Hum, I was just noting the mount of cars I see on the track. Seems less that I thought there would be.
