New Shoes...

With about 45,000 miles on the car, it was time to get some new shoes. I had already replaced the fronts at about 15k but now it was time for a change.

Yes, this is what made me go ahead and get the 45s instead of the lower profile 40s. While lower profiles look great, I am enjoying the extra 5mm of cushion. Frankly, you can barely see the difference but you sure can feel it….

I will let you all know the final analysis on the tires after driving to Maine and back next week…..

Pass the Ice Cream!

Murray – those are the same wheels I have on my 2003 MCS only mine are silver and 18”. Right now two of them are bent slightly – a hazzard of low profile tires and the third-world-type roads – a result of a hard Kansas City winter.

I have been a HUGE fan of the Eagle F-1s for some time. They were the first tire I put on my 2005 MCS after wearing out the factory run flats. I felt that their wet performance was better than the dry performance of the factory tire.

Enjoy the new shoes!!

I also have used TR for my last 3 tyre purchases. The only downside I have ever found was with their customer comments. The tyres I have now I hate but they had 100% good reviews. Otherwise TR is amazing.

I will say that the taller sidewall gives it a heavier look, to me.

My last experience at TR here: http://tinyurl.com/yrgl3u
